Pain in the ass

Ok, so its now been 4 weeks since my trip to the mid west, and we are Still having problems with the software. I left early today as we'd just realeased another patch, and there wasn't anything else to do. Got home!

Phone: Ring-ring ring-ring.
Answer phone
ME: Hello
N: Hello. Trouble, still getting the same problem here.
Me: (silently) Arggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Calm down.

Me: Ok have you installed the very latest patch.
N: Noooo
Me: Well try that then!

Too much stuff too little time

A while since my last post, mainly because I've been to Middle America on works buisness. That bit you normnally fly over on the way to the west coast. All 4x4 trucks and drive thrus. Ug!

Since then just about every problem that could have happened to our software has happend. 12 hr days in the office 6 days a week. (I refuse point blank to work on Sunday). Mind you, our competitor that was looking to buy the company has lost interest, or at least they've gone quiet, so I suppose I'm lucky to still have a job, or to put it another way, I already consigned myself to losing my job, so the current fun is actually quite, well, fun.

No real presssure.

If I pull it off, and fix our problems, good. If not, well, its no worse than what I've alredy expected.

I think tomorrow I will tell my boss that the only way forward is a re-write.
